on Debian, run

on CentOS

yum install mailx -y

To send a test email, run

echo 'Test passed.' | mail -s Test-Email [email protected]

To specify sender address, use -r option

echo 'Test passed.' | mail -s Test-Email -r [email protected] [email protected]
